Express Mini Sessions

Introducing Chunky Llama Express Minis!
Express Mini Sessions will be held at Nativity Church (please note the change from the Library). These cost $25 and come with one digital image chosen for you. Book your session HERE.
All about Express sessions:
You’ve told us you want a more cost-effective option, so we’ve created an Express option. I’ll only need you for 2 minutes of photo time, and you can leave the rest to us!
Sessions will be held at the Nativity Church Hall, 76 Alfred Street.
How it will work:
- You will book in on the booking calendar, choosing your time and paying for the session and any additional images you might want.
- On the Express Mini Day you’ll come to Nativity Church, head up the stairs to the hall on the right (not the church part).
- Come into the main hall and let us know you’ve arrived. You’ll be given a buzzer to let you know when it’s your turn to pop over to the backdrop area.
- Your little one gets their photo taken, it’s lots of fun for a couple of minutes, and then you head home.
- Within a few days you receive an email with a link to your gallery of images.
Want more images?
You can just get the one image that comes with the booking, or you can order more images.
Add an extra image – $25 each
If you just want one extra this is the way to go.
Highlight bundle, 3 extra images – $50
When you know you want more of the cuteness.
The Highlight Bundle is great for when you want a series of different options, ie. with and without the age block or prop, closeup, full body shot, baby laying down and sitting.
Big Bundle, 10-15 images – $95
Want them all? No worries!
It’s like a photo buffet: all the cuteness with no need to cull them down.
The Big Bundle gets you more of the goodies—10 to 15 delivered to your gallery. The number of images delivered will depend on how well the session went, obviously!
You can either add the extras to the checkout when you book your session online, or decide to upgrade at the time of your session.

Can I choose my favourite photo?
No. Leave that part with me.
No more agonising over which photo to pick.
After 8 years of helping mums choose their images, I’ve got a pretty good idea of what mums want, so just leave it with me and I’ll give you what I consider is the best shot of the series.
If you want more options, you can choose to purchase extra images:
- 1 for $25
- 3 for $50
- 10-15 for $95
How do the sessions work?
On the Express Day you’ll arrive at the library, preferably a few minutes early, and come to the back of the ground floor. You’ll be welcomed by one of the Chunky Llama crew, who will sign you in and give you a buzzer which will let you know when it’s your turn to bring baby into the studio space.
Please make sure your child is completely ready for her photo, socks and shoes are off and her face is clean. A series of photos will be taken, a big fuss will be made about how well the child did and she’ll be rewarded with a much coveted sticker from the sticker box – and then you’ll be on your way. EASY PEASY!
What do the photos look like?
There will only be one scene option each time, the light coloured backdrop with the option of a white fluffy blanket. Classic and simple.
This means you can still get your monthly age blocks for babies, and there will be enough room for a bigger child. It will suit all ages!
CHRISTMAS UPDATE: We’ve created Christmas Caravan and Nutcracker themes as well, so just make sure you book into the one you want!
Can I have my children photographed together?
Sessions are designed for one child only. You can book your kids into consecutive sessions, and they can have matching photos. As a general rule, we won’t be photographing more than one child at a time. Photographing two or more kiddos takes quite a bit more time, especially if one of them is a baby and the other a small child!
However, if you feel like your children will be easy to photograph, for whatever reason, I’m happy to give it ‘one quick try’. This is where we throw caution to the wind and give it a whirl, knowing full well that we might not have enough time to make it work, but if it does; woohoo!
If you’d like to take advantage of ‘one quick try’, please book your children into consecutive timeslots and make a mention of it in the comment section of the booking form. It’s really important we’re all on the same page that it’s a quick try, not a done deal. This is more likely to work with older kids. If you have really young ones, it’s best to book into a studio Milestone Mini.
Can one upgrade Bundle be used for two or more of my kids?
Yep! If you book two or more of your kids into one date, and you want to go for the Big Bundle, you only need to upgrade one booking and I’ll apply it across all the kids. So if you book Charlie, Sandy and David into one date (three bookings) just go ahead and get one Big Bundle upgrade for $95 and you will receive the best 15 or so images from those sessions combined. This does NOT apply for cousins or friends.
I’m running late, or early – what happens if I can’t be there during the exact 3 minutes of my session?
We know it’s not always easy to keep a baby on schedule, so if you’re a bit late, or a bit early, or baby is feeling fussy, it’s ok. Timing will be somewhat approximate within 20 minutes or so, and if your child is just not quite feeling it yet, and another baby is, we’ll go with the flow. However, if you’re super late and you arrive after the final session for the day has taken place, you will have forfeited the booking.
I’m building a series of images over the year, will you remember what I want?
Maybe, but probably not every time! If you can be in charge of whether your baby needs an age block, or a particular prop in her photo, and have that ready to go when you bring her into the studio space, that will help immensely. We only have two minutes to take the photo, which is all we need to get a cute image, but that leaves no time for talking through the options. Make sure you’ve got that sorted before you bring your baby into the studio space.
How and when will I get my photo?
Within 4 business days you will receive an email with a link to your gallery, this is where you will find your image (or series of images). Please download your photos so you have them safe and sound.
Do you keep my photos? Can I come back later and buy more?
Unfortunately not. You have to either pre-order your extra images when you book your session, or order and pay for them at the time of your session. Images not bought will eventually be deleted from the system.
Why aren’t these sessions held at your studio?
I wanted to create fast, fun sessions in a central location that suit our Mums. Nativity Church has ample free parking and access is much more convenient than the studio for such a large number of Mums.
